Overview

The goal of the Helicopter Quieting Program (HQP) is to identify, develop and demonstrate advanced rotor technologies that can dramatically improve the survivability of military rotor systems, with minimal negative impact on performance, affordability, availability and suitability.  A critical element toward this goal is to create and demonstrate a physics-based design toolset that enables analytical design of novel rotor systems and rotorcraft for reduced acoustic susceptibility (detection and recognition) by the human threat.
