Dr. Michael Pagels
Program Manager
Bio:
Dr. Pagels’ technical interests are in the exploitation of the signatures presented by mobile forces, target movement modifications induced by terrain features and other obstacles, the application of exploitation technologies to very large data sets with rapid update, and the use of information fusion techniques across multiple domains.
Dr. Michael Pagels joined DARPA as a program manager after 12 years as a principal contributor for a number of defense contractors. His primary work has been in the research, design, development and fielding of large image exploitation systems including IES/BTI Phase 2, TopSight, and the Semi-Automated IMINT Processing system. Prior to joining the defense community Michael spent 13 years developing micro-computer and PC operating system and office automation technology.
Dr. Pagels received his B.S in Computer Science from the State University of New York, and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Arizona. He is a member of the ACM and IEEE.
