Optical Ceramics (NCOC)
The purpose of Modification 1 to BAA06-19, Addendum 3, is to change the following
information under the Description section.
Technology Area One Metrics:
Phase II:
(F) Thermal shock resistance: Greater than or equal to 2x sapphire
(G) Sand erosion resistance: Greater than or equal to 2x sapphire
(H) Water drop fracture threshold velocity: Greater than or equal to 2x sapphire
Property Goals:

(E) Thermal shock resistance: Greater than or equal to 2x standard ZnS
(F) Sand erosion resistance: Greater than or equal to spinel
