Dr. Cindy Daniell joined
DARPA as a Program Manager in September
2006. Prior to joining DARPA, Dr. Daniell
was a Senior Research Scientist in the
Information Sciences Lab at HRL Laboratories
(formerly Hughes Research Laboratories),
where she worked on the design and development
of image and signal processing systems,
statistical learning algorithms, pattern
recognition, and the information processing
of biological systems. She also has experience
in analog VLSI.
Dr. Daniell began her career on the technical
staff at the Missile Systems Division
of Hughes Aircraft Company (HAC). She
held several technical management positions
at HAC before joining HRL. She received
her bachelor’s degree in electrical
engineering from the University of South
Alabama and her master’s degree
and doctorate in electrical engineering
from the California Institute of Technology.
Dr. Daniell is the author or co-author
of six patents and 25 technical papers.
